The Recreational Group, the manufacturer of premium surfacing solutions including XGrass, Tour Greens and VersaCourt, has opened a 21,000-square foot showroom and distribution center in central Florida.

The company's first location outside its Dalton, Georgia headquarters capitalizes on the rapidly growing trend of sports organizations, professional landscapers, schools and consumers choosing environmentally-friendly, high-quality synthetic turf and game courts. The showroom is one of the only places landscape architects, builders and homeowners can experience The Recreational Group's products in one place.

"The new RG distribution center will supply high-quality, American-made products to landscape professionals, contractors and consumers in the region with same-day service," said Will Lambert, Vice President of New Business Development for The Recreational Group. "There is a need in this industry for superior products, at a good price with world-class service. This location fills that need.”

The fully-stocked warehouse has synthetic grass systems for lawns, landscapes, playgrounds, pet and golf applications with three varieties of specially formulated infill, Polygreen foam safety padding and drainage tile for pet and rooftop applications. All accessories and tools needed for a quality turf installation are available for same-day pickup as well. Additionally, the warehouse will feature a large rental stock of its Swisstrax modular tiles to supply the Florida market with its popular trade show and event flooring.

"Our Orlando distribution center is strategically located, enabling us to provide products as early as same-day in the region," said Ron Bennett, CEO of The Recreational Group. "Paired with an amazing showroom featuring compelling displays, we're pleased to present customers with invaluable exposure to our products.”

As The Recreational Group is the manufacturer and the distributor, the quality and consistency of the products are guaranteed. A majority of distributors in the region import products from oversees, and therefore cannot offer the same controls.

Attractive and made from recycled materials, the American-made synthetic turf and sports systems last longer, have a lower environmental impact and lower maintenance costs than traditional lawns and sports surfaces. RG turf solutions require less water and do not require fertilizers and pesticides. This has driven the growth of artificial turf across homes, golf courses, businesses and public spaces in Florida.

RG plans to grow its share of the Florida market to 50 percent over the next five years, with the Orlando distribution center serving as the central hub.

With a full suite of surfacing solutions, including XGrass, VersaCourt, Swisstrax, and Polygreen Foam, RG products can be found worldwide. The company has completed several add-on acquisitions and continues to pursue acquisitions and similar regional partnerships to distribute its surface solutions.
