Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Appoints Rashad Richey to Board of Directors

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is pleased to announce that Rashad Richey, Ed. D., Ph.D., M.B.A., has been appointed to the hospital’s Board of Directors. 

“Throughout his career, Dr. Richey has demonstrated a commitment to helping people live their best possible lives,” said Robert Miller, M.D., Chairman of Piedmont Atlanta’s Board of Directors. “His work is a natural fit with Piedmont’s Promise to make a positive difference in every life we touch. We are excited to welcome him to the Board and look forward to the work we’ll do together.” 

Dr. Richey is a well-known radio and television personality. He was named “Best Talk Radio Personality in Atlanta” by readers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for his show on News and Talk 1380 – WAOK. He is also the social/political commentator for The People’s Station V-103, the daily political analyst for CBS 46 News and Peachtree TV Atlanta and chief editor-at-large for Rolling Out Magazine. 

“In his work as a reporter and analyst, Dr. Richey strives to give voice to people who feel like they’ve been left out of the conversation,” said Patrick Battey, M.D., CEO of Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. “He makes discussions about policy clear, interesting and actionable.
