Skanska announces that it has completed the renovation of and moved to its new Atlanta office at 245 Peachtree Center Avenue. Taking 15,004-square-feet on the 25^thfloor at Marquis One, the company relocated from 55 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.

Skanska’s new office layout emphasizes community and southern hospitality. The office includes an open workspace environment with many common areas for gathering, several large training rooms and idea rooms for collaboration, and privacy rooms for more focused work, calls or video conferences. The numerous meeting rooms and offices have glass walls to allow natural light into the center of the plan while creating an overall more transparent, collaborative environment. Other materials used in the construction included light oak wood floors, veneer brick on exterior walls, and lots of black accents. The office’s interior design was created by PDR and the construction buildout was executed by Skanska. 

“A lot thought and consideration of the needs of our employees and clients went into the design process,” said Scott Cannon, executive vice president and general manager of Skanska’s building operations in Georgia and South Carolina. “Skanska’s culture is built on open and accessible communication. Our new office offers a welcoming, productive and modern space for our team and guests.” 

Skanska employees in Atlanta now work in a building outfitted with the finest amenities for clients and employees, well located in the heart of the city with easy access to public transportation and highways. Skanska was in the midst of renovating the space when the pandemic hit and adjusted plans so the space conforms to the new office norms as defined by the response to COVID-19. 

The Peachtree Center’s Marquis Towers recently completed a major renovation project in 2019 to modernize the amenities and common spaces for tenants like Skanska. The renovation project included a new fitness center, revitalization of outdoor spaces and a new conference center complete with a training room, board room and breakout niches. The office lobbies were also revamped to incorporate gaming areas complete with pool tables, shuffleboard and beverage counters.
