Bolster Real Estate Partners (“Bolster”), a minority-owned real estate firm, today announces its inaugural project The Kourtney at Yates Road, a 122-unit stacked townhome rental 55+ community for active adults. Located in South Fulton, the $35-million mixed-use community was intentionally designed for empty nesters wanting to lead an active and social lifestyle with street-level retail, resort-worthy experiences and weekly events programming. Groundbreaking for the project is slated for early August.
The townhome rental community will provide attainable modern farmhouse living for active adults aged 55 and up. There has been a lack of available housing for active adults in South Fulton and the demand for this product type is high, with the 55+ age group making up 21 percent of the population within a 5-mile radius of the site. The fastest growing age cohorts in the City of South Fulton are residents 65 or older and those between 55 and 64. Because the number of vacant units has decreased in South Fulton, The Kourtney will serve as a much-needed solution to the shortage of attainable housing in the area.
“At Bolster, we strive to revitalize emerging communities and offer opportunities for the residents that live there. South Fulton is undergoing a resurgence and the Red Oak District where the project is located is experiencing new life, but the active adult market was lacking in terms of housing availability,” said Donald Washington, founding principal at Bolster. “The Kourtney introduces a new product to the submarket and will serve as a catalyst for job creation and growth in the area. We’re excited to break ground on this unique project later this summer.”
