The Spruill Center for the Arts today announced that Artistic Affair, its major fundraising event, will be held this year at Factory Atlanta, located in the Chamblee warehouse district at 5616 New Peachtree Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341. The soiree, now in its 37th year, is also moving the event to a Friday night, featuring a later format on March 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Building off the success of last year’s groundbreaking fundraising event, this year’s Arts Experience features a whole new lineup of participatory experiences for those in the Perimeter area and metro art communities. Funds raised from the event will support Spruill’s programs and outreach efforts for the coming year.

New to the scene this year are the vinyl musical stylings of DJ Dookie Platters and sleight of hand magic from the conjuror Chris Moorman. Returning favorites include a live painting by artist Leslie Cannon and fortune telling from Karen Branch and her astrologers. This year’s event will also showcase a variety of games of chance, artistic selfie stations, and a spot for viewing the Final Four Sweet 16 action.

“Since last year’s event sold out and was so much fun for the participants, plus so successful for the organization financially, we wanted to see if we could go even bigger this year,” said Spruill Center for the Arts CEO Alan Mothner. “The Factory Atlanta is just right down the street and a perfect vibe for this years’ Experience,” he continued.

The premier attraction and focus of the evening’s fundraising efforts will be the silent auction that highlights the artwork of Spruill artists including unique paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and other items that will be available during the silent and live auctions. Raffle drawings are being held in a competitive style this year, with contestants playing a showdown of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to determine the winners of both the Spruill Board fine wine collection and a $1,000 shopping spree from Lauderhilll’s Fine Jewelry.

Artistic Affair is supported by Presenting Sponsor Regency Centers and other partners including The Piedmont Bank, Interlokit, Discover Dunwoody, JWB Construction Services, Georgia’s Own Credit Union, and the Perimeter Center Improvement Districts. Rough Draft Atlanta is the official media partner of the event.
