On the heels of a highly successful debut event in October 2022, the Marine Trade Association of Metro Atlanta (MTAMA) is set to launch its second Lake Lanier Boat Show the weekend of March 3 through 5 at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. Touted as “Georgia’s Premier In-Water Boat Show,” the March 2023 show is projected to be even bigger and better than the first. Organizers expect a large turnout as word continues to spread about this unique event that allows everyone from aspiring boat owners to seasoned boaters to experience boats where they belong… in the water. In addition to the opportunity to shop from over 270 boat models representing more than 50 top-tier brands from trusted local dealers, attendees will get to experience live music from talented musicians, shop “lake life” gear from area vendors, dine from a food truck or Margaritaville’s flagship restaurant – LandShark Bar & Grill, learn angler tips during a fishing seminar, and more.

“Even though it will technically still be winter when the show takes place, for many of our guests, we believe this is Where Summer Begins,” said Tabor Reins, President of MTAMA. “Margaritaville at Lanier Islands offers the ideal backdrop with its white sand beach, tropical atmosphere, and row after row of docks filled with boats for sale. We’ve designed this to be more than a boat show that offers an effortless, low-pressure boat-buying experience. It’s also a chance for us to promote a love of water and inspire our guests to imagine countless days spent out on the lake with family and friends. Lake life is contagious. Given the terrific success of our first show, we’re expecting another great turnout – particularly since spring and summer are just around the corner. Our dealers are so ensconced in the Lake Lanier culture that we can give new boaters plenty of pointers about hitches, storage, supplies, and more, so they’re ready to raise the anchor and set a course for an unbelievable first weekend on the lake.”

Enhancing the March 2023 weekend-long event is the chance to win a boat valued at up to $56,000 through New Country 101.5 FM’s “Crack the Code” contest - sponsored by the Diamond Sponsor of the Lake Lanier Boat Show, Transcend Roofing Systems. Lake Lanier Boat Show attendees are encouraged to tune in for more details during the weeks leading up to the event. Another new addition to the Boat Show is a series of fish tank demonstrations and fishing seminars facilitated by professional angler Ken Sturdivant of Southern Fishing each day of the event at noon, 2, and 4 p.m.

Hours for the Lake Lanier Boat Show are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 3, and Saturday, March 4, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 5. The musical lineup will feature high energy Country and Rock musicians – Owl Creek Band on Saturday and Southern Rock musicians – Robby Litt Band on Sunday, both shows beginning at 1 p.m. Lanier Islands is located at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford. Tickets for the Lake Lanier Boat Show are available for purchase at LakeLanierBoatShow.com for just $15/person, which includes resort parking.
