The Gwinnett Chamber returned to Washington D.C. for its annual Washington D.C. Fly-In presented by Jackson EMC. This time-honored program gave business leaders an opportunity to connect with members of Congress and federal partners on important bills and issues that impact business.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce kicked off the program on Tuesday with overviews of top federal policy issues, including international policy and the economy. The Chamber delegation then visited Amazon HQ2 in Arlington for a behind-the-scenes tour of their workspace.

Wednesday’s agenda included meetings with Gwinnett’s Congressional delegation, including U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff, U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, U.S. Representative Mike Collins (GA-10), U.S. Representative Andrew Clyde (GA-9), U.S. Representative Hank Johnson (GA-4), U.S. Representative Lucy McBath (GA-7), U.S. Representative Rich McCormick (GA-6), and U.S. Representative David Scott (GA-13).

This year’s visit was extra special as the Gwinnett Chamber returned to the nation’s Capital carrying the distinct honor of having been named ‘Chamber of the Year’ by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). In addition to exemplary leadership and organizational strength, partnerships, including those with our Members of Congress, contributed to the Gwinnett Chamber’s recognition. The Chamber expressed gratitude to its Congressional partners for their ongoing support in advancing legislation to foster jobs, investment, and business growth in the community.
