  • Georgia’s Unemployment Rate Rises to 5.5%

    The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in March was 5.5 percent, up one-tenth of a percentage point from 5.4 percent in February. The rate was 6.2 percent in March 2015.

    Philanthropic Atlanta residents will show their moves on the dance floor for one exciting evening to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter. The event, Dancing Stars of Atlanta, will take place on April 30, 2016 at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Mirroring the popular TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” this event pairs local business and community leaders with professional dancers to raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition.
