Douglas County Chamber Executive Kali Boatright Named 2017 GACCE Legacy Award Recipient

Kali Boatright, President & CEO of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, was presented with GACCE’s top award – the GACCE Legacy Award.  The announcement was made at the 2017 GACCE Executive Leadership Conference held at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. 

For more than twenty years, the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives has presented the Legacy Award.  The association’s most prestigious award, it recognizes long-term executives who have excelled over a period of years in leading and innovatively building their chamber.  The award is based on the demonstration of excellence in areas of chamber leadership, organizational management, service to the profession, community reputation/involvement, and personal attributes.

Kali has served as President & CEO of the Douglas County Chamber for 13 years. Through her leadership, she has driven her chamber to be recognized as a Georgia Certified Chamber.  She is a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive, and she is also a past Chair of GACCE.   

Kali was nominated by the Chamber’s Chairman of the Board, Randy Whitaker with Bank of the Ozarks, and to quote from the nomination:
