On Thursday, October 24, Holbrook Decatur, the new $74 million active lifestyle community on Clairmont Road in Decatur, hosted its ribbon cutting and grand opening event with champagne, live music, chef food tastings and a dog show. The event also featured a presentation from Dr. Stuart Zola, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Emory University, a renowned expert who has developed innovative technology that assists with memory impairment issues. Al Holbrook, Holbrook Chairman and Visionary, welcomed guests and recognized the first residents who have already moved into Holbrook Decatur.

More than 300 people toured Holbrook Decatur on this beautiful fall day. The five-story, upscale community offers 200 custom-designed residences, with more than 18 individualized floorplans and upgraded options such as custom closets, a fireplace, and a wine chiller. In addition to superior construction and magazine-worthy architecture, Holbrook Decatur offers amenities and hospitality services that are equal to a five-star resort. The company uses the latest in technology providing innovation all around the building, including air ionization, UV water purification, and access to the Holbrook app for 24/7 updates.

According to one of Holbrook Decatur’s first residents, Ellen Bailey: “Holbrook mirrors my active lifestyle, and I am looking forward to meeting like-minded, fun and interesting people. The staff has made the move-in process seamless especially, being a brand new community. They are also upfront with me about things that I can and cannot do. Overall, Holbrook Decatur presents itself as reputable and that’s why I selected this community to call home.”

Long-time member of the Decatur community and new Holbrook Decatur resident  Lucy Carson said: “I’ve lived in this neighborhood all my life, over 50 years. It’s my security blanket. That’s the main reason for choosing the Holbrook! I’m excited about building new friendships and keeping busy. The personnel are very accommodating, and more than willing to make me feel comfortable as this is a big move for me.”

Known as innovative senior living communities, Holbrook targets adults who are looking for their next great adventure by offering life-affirming activities including a matchmaking service, travel excursions, “Food Network-worthy” cuisine, and artificial intelligence (AI) concierge services. “We offer a better quality of life,” said Holbrook. “Our future residents are usually in their mid-60s and they’re not ready to slow down. In fact, they want more – and they deserve more. More amenities, more chances to use their brain, more chances to volunteer, and more chances to live their life to the fullest with other like-minded people.”
