Georgia Power’s Doug Jenkins Named Chairman of 2021 Board of Directors for Council for Quality Growth

Georgia Power Metro North Regional Director Doug Jenkins has been named the 36thchairman for the 2021 Board of Directors for the Council of Quality Growth, an advocacy organization that operates broadly across county and municipality lines to represent the growth and development industry of the entire metro Atlanta region.

In his role, Jenkins joins a long list of development industry influencers that have led the Council whose primary mission is to support responsible and sustainable growth by convening the public and private sectors in a collaborative effort to grow and strengthen the metro region. 

The Council brings together and advocates for those who work at the intersection of public policy and private investment, including developers, contractors, engineers, architects, planners, law firms and banks.

In his role at Georgia Power, Jenkins is responsible for providing leadership for region operations, sales, customer service, economic and community development, and external affairs activities for 600,000 customers in an area that includes DeKalb, Forsyth, North Fulton, Gwinnett and Rockdale counties.
