The Christian City Teen Board is hosting the second annual Race for Safe Place on June 12, 2021. The 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk event will take place on the beautiful 500-acre Christian City campus in south Fulton County. Registration begins at 8am and the race starts at 9:30am.

Proceeds benefit Christian City Children & Family Programs, including the Safe Place Runaway & Homeless Youth Program, which provides trusted help and a place of safety for runaway and homeless youth who are on the streets and in danger of human trafficking.

“We've designed a fun, flat, 5K PR course through the Christian City campus along with a 1-mile run/walk course,” said Teen Board President, Mary Elizabeth Kirkpatrick. “Every runner will receive a cool t-shirt and there are great prizes for each age division,” she said. A pair of running shoes (value up to $150) will be awarded to the overall male and female winners, compliments of Dragonfly Running Company.

You can help make the event a success by becoming a sponsor, registering to run or walk, and/or making a donation at https://christiancity.org/raceforsafeplace/. All ages and abilities are welcome!
