Governor Kemp, Mayor Dickens proclaim Wednesday, March 29 “Making HERstory Day” ahead of GWCCA Celebration

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Mayor of Atlanta Andre Dickens today proclaimed Wednesday, March 29, “Making HERstory Day” prior to the Making HERstory Tea hosted by Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment campus in North America.

The inaugural event will bring together women leaders in Atlanta’s hospitality and tourism industry for a thoughtful discussion on developing women leaders and how exceptional customer service attracts business to Atlanta. The program will begin with a fireside chat between Jen LeMaster, GWCCA Chief Administrative Officer, and Shavannia Williams, GWCCA Director of Strategic Partnerships. A panel discussion with acclaimed leaders at several Atlanta organizations will follow, moderated by Atlanta News First anchor Tracye Hutchins.

On the panel will be Kim Allison, Senior Director, Convention Sales, GWCCA, Ebony Barley Carswell, Special Events Director, Mayor Office of Special Events, City of Atlanta, Kristin Delahunt, Vice President, Destination Services, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Jai Farrell, Deputy General Manager & Chief Commercial Officer, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Lauren Fisher, Director, Member Services, and AMB Sports + Entertainment, Toyya Lassere, Sr. Director, Guest and Team Member Services, Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
