The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS held its 65th annual Million Dollar Club Awards Banquet recognizing the area’s highest producing Commercial Brokers. Membership in The 2023 Million Dollar Club is based on the personal production of at least five million dollars in real estate transactions by the individual applicant. Awards were given for the top producers in the specialized fields of Investment, Industrial Landlord, Industrial Tenant, Industrial Owner’s Rep, Land, Office Landlord, Office Tenant, Office Owner’s Rep, Retail, Retail Owner’s Rep, and Multifamily. Top producers are ranked by their pure volume in their respective category.

One of the most noteworthy honors is the Phoenix Award given to people who have qualified for the Million Dollar Club for ten years. In addition, Silver Phoenix Awards are presented to those who have been a member of Million Dollar Club for twenty-five years. The ultimate accolade is the Bruce B. Wilson Diamond Phoenix Award, which recognizes members who have made it to their forty-fifth year in the Million Dollar Club. As well as those honors, the winners of the Alvin B. Cates award and the Rookie of the Year award were also recognized.

The Alvin B. Cates Award, established in 1937, is one of the most prestigious awards of the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS and is awarded for a transaction that is considered to be outstanding based on creativity, ingenuity and skill, rather than on the volume or size of the transaction. In 1999, the Rookie of the Year Award was established to honor an outstanding Young Council member who produced the highest volume in the Million Dollar Club amongst the Young Council of REALTORS Million Dollar members. Winners must have worked in the brokerage business for no longer than three years.
