The ATL Airport Community Improvement Districts (CIDs), in collaboration with MARTA, Fulton County, Clayton County, and College Park, are pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Automated Transit Network (ATN) Demonstration Pilot. This groundbreaking initiative aims to investigate and assess innovative transit solutions that enhance mobility, efficiency, and sustainability within the airport district.

The ATL Airport CIDs recognize the immense potential of Automated Transit Networks to revolutionize travel within and around the airport district, creating a connected and accessible environment for all stakeholders. The ATN demonstration pilot seeks to establish a seamless transportation system that offers convenience and accessibility for travelers, thereby improving connectivity in communities currently underserved by transit. By expanding transit reach, more economic development opportunities can be generated around the world's busiest and most efficient airport. Furthermore, it instills confidence in employers, ensuring that their employees have reliable transportation to and from work, regard less of the time of day.

This initiative presents a unique and exciting opportunity for industry leaders to showcase their capabilities while contributing to the advancement of transportation technology. The ATN demonstration pilot invites innovative proposals from interested parties specializing in advanced autonomous transit technology. The pilot program aims to evaluate the technical feasibility, operational efficiency, and passenger experience of various ATN systems.

"The ATL Airport CIDs are dedicated to fostering innovation and sustainability within our vibrant community," said Gerald McDowell, Executive Director. "We firmly believe that the ATN Demonstration Pilot will enable us to explore state-of-the-art transportation solutions and pave the way for a more efficient and interconnected airport district."
