For its great 88th year, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival will highlight fine art, international performances, live music, family fun and more during three thrilling days. It all happens in Piedmont Park April 12-14, 2024, and entrance is free!

Throughout its long history, the festival has provided a variety of cultural offerings to metro Atlanta residents and visitors, regularly evolving what is in store for the springtime outdoor celebration. Attendees will be excited to learn that the 88th-annual event will include the midway rides, the Party in the Park hospitality area and the return of the dedicated International Stage. This is all in addition to the 250+ artists in the juried Artist Market, a weekend of live music on the Main Stage, the award-winning Atlanta High School Art Exhibition and many additional enjoyable features.

ARTIST MARKET
The juried fine art Artist Market features the best of more than 750 artist entries from across the continent each year to participate in one of the first shows of the festival season. Visitors can browse, appreciate and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art, as well as discuss the creative spark behind the works with the artists themselves.

INTERNATIONAL STAGE
Back by popular demand! The International Stage on the Lake Clara Meer dock has been a festival favorite for more than a decade. Throughout the weekend, this stage will offer up performances celebrating the many global communities that call Atlanta home. From salsa to Irish dance or from flamenco to Chinese folk and Caribbean music, this stage presents a tour of the world.

LIVE MUSIC
Throughout the weekend, the festival offers a variety of live music on the Coca-Cola Main Stage. Whether taking a seat on the lawn or kicking back in the Corona Light Beer Garden, visitors will enjoy the variety of local bands, emerging artists and party bands in a range of musical genres.

VIP PARTY
Another outstanding way to experience live music at the festival, the ticketed Party in the Park welcomes attendees to the VIP area with its perfect view of the Main Stage. A range of ticket levels is available (with and without lunch), and guests will have access to dedicated food trucks, beer and wine tasting, a private bar, a luxe restroom trailer, seating and more. Tickets will be available starting in February at dogwood.org

DOGWOOD 5K’s
For several years, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Mimosa 5K has welcomed runners, joggers, walkers, rollers and strollers to enjoy a beautiful route through historic Midtown in fine spring air. Following the race, which is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier, participants (21+) can sip a mimosa in the park then stay to enjoy festival Saturday.

Inaugurated earlier this year, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Run for the Arts 5K takes place Saturday, March 2, 2024, within Piedmont Park. This scenic run includes a T-shirt contest for high school students and is also an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

Participants can register for the 5K’s separately, and avid runners can also look out for a two-race registration package this year.

HIGH SCHOOL ART

In addition to the professional fine artists taking part in the Artist Market, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival supports youth artists with the Atlanta High School Art Exhibition (AHSAE). Since 2003, the festival has sponsored this competition for metro Atlanta high school students, and it receives 700+ entries a year from which the best hundred or so are selected to be part of the exhibition during the festival. The AHSAE also provides prizes and scholarships for top submissions.

LIVE ART

High school students get the chance to go head-to-head at the live art competition, Art Throwdown. Held on festival Sunday afternoon, this creative battle pits teams of budding artists against each other in a friendly but fierce fight for artistic dominance.

KIDS VILLAGE
Families and children looking for fun can head to the Kids Village where they will find all sorts of hands-on activities, games and play sets to entertain the most discerning of young attendees.

MIDWAY RIDES
Children and adults alike will delight in the offering of rides at the 2024 festival. Bringing an air of excitement to the park, the ticketed rides appeal to both adventure seekers and those looking for gentler amusement.

HOTEL DEALS
Locals and visitors alike can enjoy a convenient festival weekend with discounted rates with the Atlanta Dogwood Festival hotel partners – including Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta, with more to be announced soon. https://dogwood.org/about/hotels/
