SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway Introduces Mobile Check-In App

Press release from the issuing company

Thursday, December 18th, 2014

SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway is excited to celebrate serving its guests and the community for five consecutive years with the introduction of Marriott's mobile app.

This fifth anniversary, on Dec. 19, 2014, is a major milestone for the hotel near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to General Manager Katie Pizzurro. "In many ways, our journey has just begun. Our guests are evolving, and our hotel is evolving with them."

The hotel has just added a new feature for guests who have access to the Marriott Mobile App, which is available as a free download from the Apple and Android stores. Marriott Rewards members who have the app will receive a push notification on their mobile device after 4 p.m. the day before their arrival to let them know they can check-in at the hotel near the Atlanta airport. An automatic notification will then be sent when their room is ready. The advance communication means the hotel will be fully prepared for an arrival and allows guests simply to walk up to the mobile check-in desk and receive their pre-programmed key card.

In the years since opening in 2009, the Atlanta airport hotel has adapted to travelers' expanding needs and desires by upgrading its breakfast offerings, increasing Internet speed by more than 1,000% and leading the market with LEED certifications. SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway also has been voted the No. 1 hotel in College Park by travelers on TripAdvisor and will continue to strive to provide excellent customer service and an ideal experience for every guest.

"The past five years have been fun, challenging, inspiring and exciting," Pizzurro said. "After all of the twists and turns over the years, I still go home every night feeling like I am the luckiest general manager in the world. Everything we have accomplished would not have been possible without the amazing and talented people I get to work with every day. There is not much else I can say except thank you."

According to Pizzurro, the Gateway Center hotels, College Park City Council, Georgia International Convention Center and City of College Park Convention and Visitors Bureau have worked hard to make sure the world knows "how great this city is, and we're just getting started."
