WHAT:

GOLF-A-THON

100 CONTINUOUS HOLES OF GOLF!

Golfers play as many holes as they can in a day to raise funds to support The First Tee of East Lake. Many of the players are participants in The First Tee of East Lake.

WHO:

The First Tee of East Lake, a program of the East Lake Foundation, is a year-round golf and life skills program that serves more than 850 community youth, age 5-17, by providing golf instruction, equipment, tournament and play opportunities and mentoring activities.  Our chapter is unique in that it is neighborhood based - participants must attend the Charles R. Drew Charter School and/or live in the East Lake community to participate. True to our motto “Golf With a Purpose” The First Tee of East Lake strives to provide youth with the tools necessary to help them succeed on the course and in life.  Initially set up as a local junior golf program, it officially became a First Tee Chapter in 1998.
