Invest Atlanta announced today that Parkmobile, LLC, the leading provider of on-demand and prepaid mobile payments for on and off-street parking, will be the latest company to join the City’s growing technology sector. Parkmobile will relocate its corporate headquarters from the Cumberland/Galleria area to Midtown Atlanta’s 1100 Spring Street in October.

The company’s mobile technology provides a convenient way to pay for parking and offers alerts prior to the expiration of a parking session.

“Businesses are voting with their feet and choosing the City of Atlanta every day,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “We are proud to welcome Parkmobile to Atlanta, where our strong pool of talented tech workers and support for the technology sector have created a thriving environment for entrepreneurs.”

The Company provides services to more than 1,400 locations around the U.S. In Atlanta, its technology provides payment options for 11,000 privately managed on-street parking spaces.

“Parkmobile’s relocation to Atlanta is a tremendous win for our City and its growing technology sector, said Craig Richard, CEO of Invest Atlanta. “The company’s core business of offering mobile payment solutions for consumers on-the-go is innovative and we look forward to their continued growth and prosperity.”

The rapidly growing company is adding news cities to its portfolio on a monthly basis.  Just in May it introduced dozens of new parking locations in Philadelphia, PA and Charlotte, NC.

“Atlanta is now our “flagship” location and the goal is to make it a model for mobility technology around the world,” said Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of Parkmobile. “By expanding our strategic partnerships and deployments across the globe we will continue to raise metro Atlanta’s brand, while leveraging its technology savvy workforce to build a company whose employees will enjoy a quality of life that is among the best of any U.S. City.”
