JE Dunn Race to Benefit Local Charities Oct. 24th

The 5th annual JE Dunn Hammer Down 5K is coming up on Saturday, October 24th, beginning in front of JE Dunn offices at 2555 Cumberland Parkway SE in Atlanta. The race, hosted by the Atlanta office of JE Dunn Construction, will begin at 8:30 a.m., with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. Proceeds from the race will benefit kidz2leaders’ Camp Hope and Feeding The Homeless Project.  Last year’s race raised $29,000 for kidz2leaders and $14,000 for Feeding the Homeless Project for a total of $43,000.  

This year the course is USATF Certified and is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.  In addition to awards in age categories, the race will also challenge runners to compete for the fastest time up the Quarter Mile King/Queen of the Hill stretch, beginning on Bert Adams Drive and reaching the top of Mt Wilkerson Pkwy.

The registration fee for the 5K is $25, with late registration at $30. There will also be a 1K fun run, with a registration fee of $10.00.   Participants may register in advance at www.hammerdownrun.com or on race day. Packet pick up will occur on Thursday, 22, 2015 10:00AM-2:00PM at JE Dunn Construction Company at 2555 Cumberland Parkway, SE Atlanta, GA 30339 or on Race Day beginning at 7:30AM at the same location. 

This is a family friendly event with activities for children.
