Prominent Atlanta Executive John Ellard Joins GV Financial Advisors

GV Financial Advisors is pleased to announce that John Ellard, a prominent local executive, has joined the company as Senior Financial Advisor.

John joins GV with expertise in finance, strategy and investments drawn from his experiences as a founding partner of Veracor, a firm specializing in insurance-based financial services and solutions, and as partner at The Benefit Company, an executive and employee benefits firm. He began his career at Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company.

John's career reflects his strong core philosophy and goals: First, guiding clients to lead more confident, meaningful lives, and second, helping clients make more sound financial decisions.

"There are many people who want not only financial security for themselves and their families, but have a desire to invest in causes that are important to them," John explained. "I find it incredibly rewarding to guide people through the process so they can make wise choices for themselves."

John holds his Series 6 (Limited Investment Securities) Series 7 (General Securities Rep), Series 24 (General Securities Principal) Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent), and Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law) licenses. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Georgia.

John lives with his wife and two children in Atlanta and is highly involved in his community. He has a special interest in helping individuals and families develop an enduring legacy based on their own values through philanthropy. John is a member of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Legacy Advisor Council and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, an organization of Atlanta attorneys, CPAs, insurance and financial advisors and consultants and trust officers who are considered by their peers to be experts in estate planning.

When not working, John keeps fit through Iron Tribe fitness, sailing off-shore and hiking the Appalachian Trail. He is also a Transit Leader at his church, building relationships with middle schools boys to help them become authentic young men.
