Global Payments Confirmed as "Project Spinoza," will Invest $220M in Atlanta and Relocate Headquarters to Buckhead

The Fortune 1000 payment processor eyeing Atlanta for a corporate headquarters is Global Payments, economic development officials told members of Atlanta's City Council Finance Executive Committee on Wednesday afternoon.
The economic development project had been codenamed Project Spinoza. On June 23, Atlanta Business Chronicle first identified Sandy Springs, Ga.-based Global Payments as Spinoza. The company did not return a call Wednesday.
