Incoming United Way of Greater Atlanta Board Members Focused on Building Thriving Communities

United Way of Greater Atlanta announced the addition of 11 new members to its Board of Directors. The new members join the Board to make important decisions guiding the success of the organization’s mission to bring together the people and resources needed to drive sustainable improvements in the well-being of children, families and individuals in the Greater Atlanta community.

“I am very excited that our new Board members are joining the journey with the United Way staff and thousands of donors and volunteers across our 13-county region to ensure that all families and individuals thrive in Greater Atlanta,” says United Way of Greater Atlanta President and CEO Milton J. Little, Jr. “Through their leadership, we will be working together to ensure that all the communities within the region we serve have the opportunity to reach their full potential.”  The communities United Way of Greater Atlanta serves are spread across the following: 13 counties including: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale.

New additions to United Way’s Board of Directors are: Kim Anderson (Agency Liaison) Chief Executive Officer at Families First; William “Bill” Cheeks (Cobb County Representative) President of ABBA Associates, Inc.; Ira Genberg (At Large) Partner at Troutman Sanders LLP;  Shelley Giberson (At Large) Greater Atlanta Tax Market Leader and International Tax Partner at PWC; Steven Lambert (Douglas County Representative) Director of Mental Health Services / Pastoral Care / Volunteer Services at WellStar Health System; Sandy Lee (Coweta Representative) Director of Sales at Paramount Hospitality Group; Meghan Magruder (At Large) Partner at King & Spalding; David Mangum (At Large) President & Chief Operating Officer of Global Payments Inc.; retired Atlanta Falcons fullback Ovie Mughelli (At Large) President of Ovie Mughelli Foundation; Stephen Scherger (At Large) Senior Vice President & CFO of Graphic Packaging International; and Calvin Ward (Fulton Representative) Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo.
