Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta Names 2017 Board of Directors

The Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta announced its new 2017 board members, which includes representatives of three Cobb County companies.

The board is led by president Robbin Steed of 11Alive.

The Executive Committee is vice president Kristie Madara of UCB, located at 1950 Lake Park Drive SE in Smyrna; secretary Emily Crawford of the Arby’s Foundation; treasurer Sara Simonds of Deloitte; and immediate past president Aileen Bleach of Sutherland Asbill and Brennan.

On the Board of Directors for Communications is Lauren Abbott of King & Spalding and Rachael Sejnoha of Cumberland-based Gas South; for Governance is Bill Barnes of Southern Company Gas and Rick Harris of Norfolk Southern; for Membership is Neeley Bain of Frazier & Deeter and Reina Short of Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union; for Programs is Sophia Guice of Bank of America and Michele Egan Sterne of For Momentum; for Revenue is Ty Hodge of Cox Enterprises and Lindsay Mason of Georgia-Pacific; and for At-Large Member is Tjuan Dogan of IBM and Sydney Langdon of Turner.

“I am excited and honored to be leading a group of people who have shown nothing but dedication to this organization’s mission,” said Steed. “The foundation set by leaders before me has made the vision clear, and I plan to build on the success they have accomplished.”

This year, the CVC of Atlanta celebrates its 25th anniversary as an organization supporting members in their strategic commitment to workplace volunteerism and civic engagement. The CVC of Atlanta is comprised of nearly 100 member companies and 15 formal nonprofit member partners.

“The CVC of Atlanta has been able to build relationships between Atlanta’s most involved corporations and civic leaders to help to enhance communities throughout metro Atlanta,” said Cheryl Kortemeier, executive director of CVC of Atlanta. “I am excited to see where this year’s journey takes us.”
