Sprint announced it has selected Movius as its cloud-based platform that will soon give unprecedented flexibility to businesses by enabling them to add a second line to employees’ business or personal wireless devices. This will be the first offering of its kind for the enterprise – no other provider enables the simple management of carrier-grade second line service that works cross-carrier and across all wireless devices. The service is anticipated to be launched in the first half of 2017.

“Movius’ patented technology and cloud-based platform will bring incredible value to our customers,” said Sprint Business President Jan Geldmacher. “We believe a second line on devices has enormous benefit to both business and their employees. It will provide convenience to individuals, while business entities will have the oversight and analytics needed to assure that employees are being compliant with company policies.”

Among the benefits Geldmacher cited is that businesses will be able to save costs on devices, infrastructure, support and services. More efficiency will be realized by simplifying mobility infrastructure management. Individuals will be able to be more productive because of the increased flexibility.

“We are proud to be working with Sprint on this industry disruptive technology,” said Movius CEO Dominic Gomez. “This solution will completely alter the enterprise mobility landscape, making it easier than ever for businesses to shift to the mobile office of the future.”
