TAG Mobility Invites You to Experience Connected Cars

TAG Mobility, the mobile tech focused group of Technology Association of Georgia, announced that it will be having its Connected Cars event, Wednesday May 17, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Cumberland Group in Cobb county, Georgia.
 
How did connected cars develop, and where are they headed? Four industry experts from Porsche North America, UPS, Verizon Telematics, and State Farm will weigh in on the current trends and the future of a fully connected experience behind the wheel.
 
PANELISTS:
 
· Terry Anderson, Manager of Connected Car at Porsche Cars North America

Terry is responsible for leading and coordinating all PCNA activities relating to the operational launch strategy and project management of telematics and infotainment offerings across Porsche’s vehicle lineup. Terry has worked with established multinational support operations, supported the launch of the first iPhone, managed start ups ventures, and led AT&T’s eCommerce customer experience team responsible for online fulfillment and logistics.
 
· Sam Howard, Director of Strategic Resources at State Farm

In 2010, Sam moved to State Farm’s Internet Solutions team and focused on the business application of workplace technologies as well as digital analytics across the company’s customer platforms.
 
Most recently, he has spent the last 5 years in the research department at State Farm. He has led customer experience research teams focused on understanding customer segments, feedback, and changing expectations. His current focus however is analytics and ensuring data assets are available for advanced analytics and organizational decision making.
 
· Michael McLary , Vice President for Corporate Strategy at UPS

Michael balances global resources and sets the strategic direction for the corporation based on current and future market trends. Working with senior leadership, he establishes business targets to help achieve long term financial results.
 
Michael obtained a global perspective while working in Singapore. For several years, he created roadmaps to drive sustainable growth for a variety of customer segments as a Marketing Director in the Asia Pacific region. Executing operating plans across 43 countries from India to New Zealand, he managed revenue and brand management, competitive analysis and communications.
 
· Eric Berkobin ,Director of Engineering for Verizon Telematics

Eric has been with the company since 2005. He has hardware and software engineering and manufacturing responsibility for OEM and Aftermarket (Hum, In-Drive, Networkfleet) telematics products.
 
Eric played an integral role in HTI’s 2006 acquisition of Networkfleet, a leading provider of wireless connected vehicle fleet management systems and services.
 
· Christian Kotscher, CEO and Founder of MetroTech Net, Inc.,

Christian is an expert on ITS and connected vehicles, will moderate the panel discussion.
