Bobby Brown Headlines Centennial Olympic Park’s July 4th Celebration

Centennial Olympic Park’s annual Fourth of July Celebration will offer FREE family-oriented entertainment, including live music and the Southeast’s largest fireworks display. This year’s celebration will be bigger and brighter than ever as the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, which owns and operates the 21-acre park, has partnered with Lenox Square to combine both facilities’ popular fireworks shows. Gates open at 6 p.m..

This year’s entertainment lineup includes:

  • Grammy Award-winning artist Bobby Brown

  • Grammy Award-winning artist Ann Nesby

  • Billboard 100 Top Dance Club Artists of All Time artist CeCe Peniston

  • Member of Grammy Award-winning country duo Sugarland, Kristian Bush

  • Atlanta favorite JFly and Friends

  • R&B singer and songwriter Algebra Blessett

  • Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta 2016: Best Local Mainstream Act Chelsea Shag

  • Gospel singer, songwriter, and radio host Darlene McCoy

  • Pop artist Jordan Bolch

The celebration will be broadcasted by local ABC affiliate WSB-TV, which won an Emmy for the broadcast in 2012 and was the third most-watched program on the 4 th of July holiday in the Atlanta market in 2016. Jovita Moore, anchor of Channel 2 Action News at 5, 6 and 11 p.m., Sports Anchor Zach Klein, and KISS 104.1 radio host Sasha the Diva will host this special event

Each year, thousands of people come to Centennial Olympic Park to celebrate Independence Day. For transportation, attendees are encouraged to ride MARTA . The park is accessible from both the Peachtree Center Station as well as the Dome/Phillips/GWCC Station. Paid parking is also available in the Marietta Deck, adjacent to the College Football Hall of Fame, or the Red Deck, adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome. Coolers, glass containers, pets, personal fireworks, large umbrellas, tents and grills are prohibited. All bags are subject to search. Alcohol and food may not be brought into the park; however, it is available for purchase inside. Additionally, park visitors under 17 years of age are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 18-years-old at all times.
