Atlanta Public Schools will host its third annual APS Back-to-School Bash from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd, NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.
 
Exclusively for APS students and their families, the district’s official back-to-school event will provide a one-stop shop for all incoming and returning APS students to learn everything students will need for the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 1.

With over 70 exhibitors, the Bash will include APS programs and services, free immunizations and health screenings, community and afterschool resources, fun activities for children, raffles and prize giveaways and a free backpack stuffed with school supplies (while supplies last). APS students in grades PreK-12 must show their APS report card for entry into the Bash and to receive a backpack.

The APS Back-to-School Bash is being presented by Newell Brands and Delta Air Lines is the gold sponsor. Fox5 Helping Hands, V-103 and News Talk 1380 WAOK are media sponsors for the event.

Other vendors confirmed for the Bash are Metro PCS, Zoo Atlanta, The College Football Hall of Fame, Soccer in the Streets, Georgia Aquarium, STEM Wars, Marcus Autism Center, the Atlanta Dream, and Mercy Care.  APS will launch its first mobile app for parents and students, and the APS Police Department will provide safety demonstrations.

Admission is free for all APS families and free parking is available in the yellow parking located at the corner of Ivan Allen and Northside Drive (while spaces are available).
