Wednesday, July 12th, 2017

Equilibrium Fitness, a gym and fitness studio, has opened on the north end of Piedmont Park, just feet away from the Atlanta BeltLine. Equilibrium offers personal and group training, as well as top-of-the-line equipment for members to use on their own.

“The facility is a little bit of chic, with industrial and modern touches,” says owner Bryan Castaño, “and our setting on the park lends an indoor-outdoor feel, facilitating warm ups or cool downs and other interactivity with the park and BeltLine.”

Castaño says he wanted the equipment to be the best, with innovative classes and some of the best instructors in the city. The state-of-the-art equipment includes the most advanced LifeFitness treadmills or ellipticals that include not only fitness tracking, but also access to TV, Netflix, Hulu and more on 19-inch screens. You’ll also find Hammer Strength Dumbbells, Multiple Hammer Strength HD Elite Rack Systems, the only gym in Georgia with the Gym RaXs rig, a full set of Hammer Strength Kettlebells, multiple battle ropes, several TRX straps, multiple boxing bags and a dedicated pilates/stretching area.

Equilibrium has a wide variety of classes including the very popular Strength Classes. Classes also include EQ spin, TRX, Kickboxing, KettleBell, Boot Camps, Yoga and soon to include Floor Pilates and Aerial Silks classes.

The immaculately clean facility sports not only well-appointed locker and shower facilities, but also green-conscious and spa-like amenities, and includes complimentary freshly brewed coffee and fresh lemonade, complimentary towel service – including chilled towels-and more.

“We want people to feel welcome, maybe even rethinking their opinions of gym life,” Castaño says. “We opened our doors to make your visits to the gym something to look forward to. Whether you’re an athlete or a beginner, we’ll empower you toward a healthy and fulfilled life.”

While Equilibrium is a family enterprise, Castaño, who is himself a certified personal trainer, is responsible not only for the gym’s vision, but also for its day-to-day operations.
