Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “Teach for the 21st Century,” the 15th installment of the “Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. “Teach for the 21st Century” features Jennifer Ulbrich, an educator at Charles R. Drew Charter School in Atlanta.

“Today’s pace of change is unprecedented. Our students will graduate into a global and dynamic world filled with emojis, robotic arms and the internet,” said Ulbrich. “It is my job to prepare them for that diverse future. Every day, I share my passion for social studies with young people, as I encourage them to think critically about the society around them. I am a teacher for the 21st century.”
