Hartsfield-Jackson Named Most Efficient Airport for 14th Consecutive Year

For the 14th straight year, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was honored with an Efficiency Excellence Award from the Air Transport Research Society. Over the weekend, ATRS released its annual benchmarking study of commercial airports in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, assessing the productivity and efficiency of nearly 200 airports based on airport cost and revenue data.     

“This award recognizes the efforts put forward by all involved at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” said Airport General Manager Roosevelt Council, Jr. “We are honored for the recognition and grateful to our airline partners and employees for their hard work as we continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of ATL’s operations.”

ATRS, the world’s leading academic society in the air transportation field, measures and compares the operational and managerial efficiency, cost competitiveness, and financial performance for airports and airport groups in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Oceania. The ATRS Airport Benchmarking Task Force includes leading professors and researchers from around the world.
