YouTube announced the expansion of YouTube TV in ten new U.S. markets. Now millions more people will be able to stream live sports, local news, and their favorite must-see shows from top broadcast and cable networks. Nine of the new metro areas include Washington, DC, Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne and Charlotte, marking the first time ever that these nine markets will be serviced with live local feeds from all major broadcasters -- ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC -- in a live TV streaming service.  YouTube TV is also expanding into Dallas-Fort Worth, featuring live local feeds from CBS, FOX and NBC, plus on-demand prime time programming from ABC.

Since launching in April in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Philadelphia and Chicago, YouTube TV has continued to expand its offering of popular cable networks. The addition of AMC, BBC World News, BBC America, IFC, WE tv, Sundance Channel, Olympic Channel, Telemundo and Universo, has meant that fan favorites like “The Walking Dead,” “Dr. Who,” “Orphan Black,” and “Portlandia,” are now available to YouTube TV members at no additional charge.

YouTube TV was built for the YouTube generation that loves live TV but wants it delivered in a way that suits their mobile and flexible lifestyles. In fact, we see more Millennials using YouTube TV than any other generational group. According to Nielsen data from Q1 2017, half of traditional TV viewers are over 49, whereas YouTube TV is seeing over half of its viewership come from 18 to 34 year old Millennials.
