WB Interiors, the Alpharetta-based, interior design firm has appointed Laura Green Rothermel as the Director of the Specialty Studio.  In this leadership role, Rothermel will drive the group’s increasing movement into design solutions for Luxury, Style Conscious corporate entities including Hotels, Retail, Niche Residential and Restaurants.  The emerging Specialty Studio team is comprised of vetted designers focused on simultaneous growth for their clients – the goal is to realize un-paralleled success by listening first - then tackling each project with the client driven perspective.
 
Rothermel, a University of Georgia graduate, brings 20 years of luxury design experience from her former boutique firm where her celebrity clients included some of the most prestigious names in the fashion, sports and entertainment industries. Well known in the Atlanta area for her mastery of color theory and the transformation of passé spaces into reinterpreted classics, Rothermel has been published more than 250 times in design such as Southern Accents and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and is a three-time recipient of Gold & Silver NAHB awards from the National Association of Home Builders.
 
An intrepid entrepreneur Rothermel along with husband, Sculptor Chris Rothermel, added a modern iteration of an historically significant method by hand-pressing natural pigment to resemble marble or granite that can be matched to designer color specifications. The product, CercaTrova, has been incorporated into high-end residences and restaurants since its development in 2014.
 
“I ignore the ‘experts’ who tell me,” says Laura, “my vision cannot be executed. I am motivated by the challenges others can’t figure out.”
