Thursday, November 16th, 2017

ATL Tech Gives Back, a day-long event intended to harness Atlanta’s passionate technology community for greater good, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Hosted by social service platform Community Bucket and startup technology publication Hypepotamus, and powered by Cox Enterprises, the quarterly event will allow 130 volunteers to give back through three different service projects with Atlanta nonprofits.

Since its inception this year, ATL Tech Gives Back has engaged 300+ attendees from technology companies ranging from enterprise to startup in volunteer projects with four community nonprofits.

On December 5, participants will have the option to work with one of three nonprofits: Park Pride,Trees Atlanta, or Crossroads Atlanta.

“This will be the 3rd quarterly event for ATL Tech Gives Back, and I’m floored at how the tech community has really shown up for Atlanta,” said Jacey Lucus, President of Community Bucket. “These companies, from startups to some of the city’s biggest enterprises, have such a strong desire to support the non-profit sector and have fun while doing it. With this event series, Community Bucket has been able to increase our impact tremendously for each of the partners we work with.”

The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • Volunteers meet at service project location: 12:30 p.m.

  • Service project: 12:30-3 p.m.

  • Social gathering at Techstars Atlanta, Ponce City Market 3-5 p.m.
