Haven Design Works Wins Seven 2017 GAHBA OBIEs for Best Interior Merchandising

Haven Design Works, the rapidly expanding interior design firm that specializes in model home merchandising, clubhouses and hospitality projects throughout the U.S., won 3 Gold and 4 Silver OBIE awards at the 37th Annual Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Awards Gala on November 11, 2017. 

Since January 2017, Haven Design Works has landed a total of 80 different interior design projects with a variety of residential builders who are constructing single family, townhome or multi-family communities in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Washington D.C., Baltimore and Chicago.

“We do extensive research before we create designs for new homes ranging anywhere from $100,000 to $1 Million,” says Donna Mathis, president and founder. “Our strong team of bright, talented interior designers has extensive experience, and we’re in some of the country’s hottest markets. The OBIE Awards are the premier awards in Atlanta’s new home construction industry and celebrate outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing, remodeling and personal achievement categories.

For their work in 2017, Haven Design Works won Best Interior Merchandising in each of these categories:

  • Attached Model $400,000-$499,999 – Inwood, FrontDoor Communities

  • Best Model Home/Sales Office – Inwood, FrontDoor Communities


  • Detached Model $300,000-$399,999 – Larkspur, Edward Andrews Homes

  • Detached Model $400,000-$499,999 – Sweet Briar Farms, Jim Chapman Communities

  • Detached Model $600,000-$699,999 – Traditions, CalAtlantic Homes

  • Attached Model $400,000-$499,999 – Lylebrooke, Edward Andrews Homes
