Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that the firm's Employment Law Practice Group has been named a 2017 Practice Group of the Year by the prominent legal news publication Law360. This is the fourth year that Ogletree Deakins' Employment Law Practice Group earned a Practice Group of the Year distinction.

While Ogletree Deakins consistently handles more litigation for the country's largest companies than any other labor and employment firm, the firm is also often involved with precedent-setting litigation within the practice area. Ogletree Deakins lawyers were involved in litigation related to, arguably, the two most important labor and employment law issues this year: the persuader regulations and arbitration agreements with class action waivers. The firm also represented Banner Health in Banner Health v. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which broadly impacted private employers throughout the country. For five consecutive years, Ogletree Deakins has received the most "overall" mentions (of all firms in all litigation practice areas) in the "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies" survey, which assembles PACER data for the Fortune 1000 in 10 key litigation practice areas. In the Labor and Employment Litigation category of the recently published 2017 list, Ogletree Deakinsreceived 63 percent more mentions than the second ranked firm on the list.

"We are honored to once again receive this distinction, which is further proof that our firm is committed to providing the excellent client service that we promise in our Client Pledge," Matt Keen, Managing Shareholder of Ogletree Deakins, said.
