Cox Enterprises named John Hatfield Vice President of Aviation. In this role, Hatfield will be responsible for managing and directing Cox's flight operations department. He will oversee government aviation regulations, policies and procedures, as well as training and safety programs. Hatfield will also supervise the department financials, facilities and aircraft. Hatfield succeeds Barry Campbell who will retire from the company after an impressive almost 30-year career with Cox.

Before joining Cox, Hatfield spent several years in business aviation, most recently as the owner and operating principle of Contrail Holdings, based in Kenner, Louisiana. He has led flight operations for Monsanto Company, DOW Corning Corporation and Flightworks Inc.

"With locations across the country, safe and secure travel is essential to helping Cox move our businesses and our people forward," said Jill Campbell, executive vice president and chief people and operations officer, Cox Enterprises. "John's leadership will benefit an already great team as he oversees all aspects of our Aviation department."

In addition to several aviation certificates and trainings, Hatfield has a degree in Airway Science Aircraft Systems Management from the University of North Dakota's Center for Aerospace Sciences. He has over 8,700 hours of accident, incident and violation-free international flight experience.
