Clayton County business leader and community advocate Altimese Dees says government and elected leaders shouldn’t be the only ones working for a stronger Clayton County – and she’s doing something about it.

The marketing and real estate professional has launched ComeHome2Clayton.com, a community Ezine that shows the dynamism, growth, and sense of community she sees in Clayton County every day.

 “We can’t rely solely on official agencies to spread the word that Clayton County is bursting with opportunity and is a fantastic place to live and work,” Dees says.  “ComeHome2Clayton.com is a new community-based voice for telling our story.”

ComeHome2Clayton.com features business, education, arts and culture, real estate, and leisure sections in a bright, easy-to-navigate environment.  “We’re presenting Clayton County as the well-balanced community we are,” Dees says. “We focus on the events and people that make us the region’s most exciting emerging area. For example, visitors to the site will see how Dr. Morcease Beasley is leading the charge for our children.”

“Our message is that Clayton County is a welcoming place with excellent housing options, new community leadership, a range of educational assets including Clayton State University, and a commitment to building a bright future,” she added.

 MARTA’s pending approval of a 22-mile commuter train link from East Point station to Jonesboro and Lovejoy and the emergence of Aerotropolis Atlanta to reinvigorate cities near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are ”historic” efforts, Dees says.  “Commuter rail and redevelopment of airport communities means Clayton County is on its way to being fully integrated into the Atlanta economic engine.  Businesses should take note: Clayton County today represents a ground-floor opportunity.”

ComeHome2Clayton.com is a supplement to the work of agencies like Aerotropolis Atlanta, the Development Authority of Clayton County and the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce.  “We all work together to promote Clayton County and build on our strengths,” she said.
