Sterling Seacrest Partners, one of the nation’s top 100 commercial insurance brokerages, has announced its first expansion into Florida, opening an office in Tampa. The team leading the new Florida office includes James C. Congelio and James Nash Congelio, two experienced brokers in the construction insurance and surety marketplace.

Sterling Seacrest’s new Tampa office opens with a staff of five and is located at 13112 Telecom Drive, Tampa, FL 33637.

Jim Congelio brings more than 30 years of experience in sales and underwriting roles to Sterling Seacrest. Prior to joining the firm, Congelio held a management role with Chubb Insurance before transitioning into sales. Most recently, he had been in production for Bowen, Miclette & Britt Insurance Agency.

His primary focus at Sterling Seacrest is Property & Casualty and Surety, serving clients in the construction industry throughout Florida. A Florida native, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Jim lives in Tampa with his wife.

James Congelio has more than 10 years experience in the insurance and surety field providing risk management solutions for clients. James works with clients in a variety of industries including construction, surety/bonding, and property management accounts. He previously worked as a surety department manager at Bowen, Miclette & Britt of Florida. He graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. He lives in Tampa with his wife, Elisa.
