Morgan Stanley Wealth Management professionals participated in the second annual Battle for the Brain lip sync competition on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Coca-Cola Roxy. The evening featured nine local acts taking the stage to compete while raising about $450,000 to benefit Emory University’s Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
This is the second year Morgan Stanley has participated in the Battle for the Brain event. The firm’s team competed as the rock band Guns ’N Roses and performed a medley of its hit songs. The team was victorious, tying for the coveted Judges’ Choice award and raising over $32,000 for the cause.
“Our firm encourages its employees to give back to the community both financially and through firm-sponsored volunteer projects that take place year-round,” said Max Hilsman, Buckhead Complex Manager and Battle for the Brain participant. “Our philanthropic work is no different; we combine the firm’s top talents, business acumen and charitable resources to create meaningful and long-lasting impact for our communities.”
The firm’s participation was recognized by the event’s organizers. “We are grateful for Morgan Stanley’s commitment to this cause and look forward to partnering with them for our next event,” said Michelle Usey, co-founder of Daughter’s Against Alzheimer’s and Battle for the Brain organizer.
