Movius, an emerging leader in cloud-based secure mobile communications software, announced Rick Martig has joined the company as its new Chief Financial Officer as the company continues its growth momentum in key markets.

Martig brings more than 33 years of financial leadership experience in both public and private companies, with an extensive background in financial planning and operations, management and strategy. He most recently served as CFO at Nexenta Systems where he led all operational aspects including finance, tax, treasury, information technology and investor relations. Prior to his role at Nexenta, Martig served as CFO of BlueArc, a network storage company that was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems Corporation after filing for an IPO, and Genesis Microchip, a public company that was also acquired.

In recent weeks, Movius has also announced John Loiacono as CEO, new board appointments, and the closing of its $45M Series D funding round led by new investor JP Morgan Chase.
