Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) hosted a record-breaking ATL Airport Career Fair on April 2 at the Georgia International Convention Center. The career fair saw more than 3,169 job seekers looking to land one of more than 2,000 open positions. During the fair, 306 attendees were hired on the spot by many aviation industry-leading companies.

“Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is not only the busiest passenger airport in the world with more than 63,000 employees, it is the economic engine of the Southeast,” said Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. “The Career Fair helps further my vision of One Atlanta to ensure that every Atlanta resident has an opportunity to work and take care of their families.”

Twice a year, ATL holds its Career Fair to connect residents throughout the city and state to over 2,000 open positions from more than 60 employers who help run the Airport. The spring fair included a wide variety of positions, from servers and ramp agents to software engineers and accountants. Attendees pursuing government careers had a number of options. The City of Atlanta, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were all represented.

“Since 2017, the ATL Airport Career Fair has connected 1,183 job seekers to on-the-spot employment,” said Airport General Manager John Selden. “Our employees have always been the most valuable asset in maintaining our position as the most efficient airport in the world.”
