North American Properties announced Rukus Cycling Studios, the first-to-state boutique indoor cycle concept, has officially opened classes to the public at the new mixed-use community Edge on the BeltLine. In celebration of its grand opening, Rukus will offer unlimited complimentary rides now through May 31.

“Wellness has become one of Atlanta’s most distinguishing characteristics as evidenced by the high volume of pedestrian traffic around the city,” said Steve Elliott, owner of Rukus Cycling Studios at Edge. “The eye-catching location of Rukus at Edge will attract residents as well as passersby interested in experiencing an innovative new workout. Our team is eager to be in the midst of such great company.”

Rukus at Edge will occupy a 2,615-square-foot space next to Shake Shack along the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail.

Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Rukus Cycling Studios is the most technologically advanced indoor cycling franchise. Rukus offers live 30, 45 or 60-minute high-energy rides, each curated with the personal touch of world-class CyclePro instructors. The classes not only focus on cardio, but also strengthen the upper body using Rukus Resistance Bands. In addition to regularly scheduled classes, each Rukus location includes an On-Demand room with Peloton bikes and a selection of Live and Encore rides available for members to join digitally.

Using industry-leading technology, Rukus’ immersive CycleArena features a RukusScore system displaying live statistics, including power, mileage, heart rate and more. The score system awards points to riders competing with fellow classmates. The CycleArena also includes a unique audio system and LED mood lighting designed specifically for Rukus Cycling Studios. The LED Lighting is controlled by instructors for an energetic, concert-style ride and the audio is evenly dispersed to each rider to create an equal audio sensory experience for every bike.

Rukus at Edge features several amenities for members such as showers, shoes and lockers. Edge residents will also receive a discount on memberships. Cyclists interested in the RukusRush special can register for the unlimited class pass trial by visiting https://gocyclenow.com/locations/atlanta-beltline/.

“Edge is home to a variety of experiential concepts designed to accommodate an eclectic mix of users from artists to foodies to fitness enthusiasts and beyond,” said Richard Munger, partner and senior vice president of residential development at North American Properties. “We are thrilled to welcome the first Rukus Cycling Studio in the state and invite the local community to find their edge in the CycleArena.”

Within the next two months, Edge will welcome two additional food and beverage establishments, Hazel Jane’s Wine & Coffee by Revelator Coffee and Chef Kevin Gillespie’s Cold Beer.

Edge celebrated its grand opening in February and is slated for completion in July 2019. The mixed-use community features 350 multifamily apartments, 10 percent of which are dedicated to workforce housing, and 27,000 square feet of retail dining and loft office space fronting the Atlanta BeltLine. North American Properties is the developer of Edge. Vantage Realty Partners owns the retail component of the development and handles retail leasing. Matrix Residential is the property management firm.
