Atlanta-area residents are invited to join Aurora Theatre and the City of Lawrenceville for the official groundbreaking for the Lawrenceville Performing Arts Center, the soon-to-be expanded home of Aurora Theatre – Gwinnett’s only professional theater. The new space will include a 55,000 square-foot facility complete with a 525-seat theater, Cabaret, indoor and outdoor civic space and rooms for office and educational programming.

The $31 million facility will cover 55,000 square feet and has been designed with significant community input to support the growth of Aurora Theatre and Gwinnett’s performing arts scene.  Transforming the downtown, the new center looks to attract more than 100,000 visitors, residents, artists and students annually to the heart of Gwinnett County. The facility will be managed by Aurora Theatre – the second largest professional theatre company in Georgia – and furthers Mayor Judy Johnson and the City Council’s vision for a walkable, urban lifestyle in which art comes to life in a talent-rich, regional epicenter of community – the heart of Gwinnett!
