United Way of Greater Atlanta Honors South Fulton Leader Patricia C. Williams at Annual State of the Children Breakfast

On Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the annual State of the Children Breakfast reporting on the progress of child well-being in the region, United Way of Greater Atlanta recognized dedicated community leader Patricia C. Williams with the 2019 Volunteerism Champion award for her tireless commitment to the Child Well-being Movement.

As the current Advisory Board Chair for United Way of Greater Atlanta in South Fulton, Patricia has been instrumental in leading a group of committed volunteers dedicated to the betterment of the community. Patricia has a long history of donating her time, talent and treasure with United Way that stretches back over two and a half decades.

“Patricia is in a master class for volunteer leadership,” says Denise Townsend, Regional Director, United Way of Greater Atlanta. “As Chair of the South Fulton Advisory Board, she keeps laser focus on priorities and helps members contribute their best. She engages people across South Fulton in local and county government, business and nonprofit sectors to educate, align and engage them in the Child Well-Being Movement.”

An accomplished corporate and civic leader, Patricia has served in numerous volunteer roles throughout her career including serving twice as chair of the South Fulton Advisory Board, which expanded its industry diversity and commitment to child well-being during her tenure.
