PAWS Atlanta Announces Appointment of Joseph Labriola, Executive Director

PAWS Atlanta announced that Joseph Labriola has been appointed Executive Director effective immediately.

“As PAWS Atlanta continues our work in the community to care for animals in need and entrust them to loving families, we sought a leader who has a track record of successfully developing and implementing growth strategies and programs that deliver results,” says Erin McMillan, Chair of the PAWS Board of Directors. “Joe is an outstanding choice to lead our organization into our next phase of delivering these much-needed animal welfare programs in the community.”

Upon accepting the position, Mr. Labriola noted, “As a life-long lover of animals, I have a passion for the mission of PAWS and look forward to collaborating with our team of dedicated staff and volunteers that work so hard every day to provide the services of this essential organization to families in our community.”

Joe Labriola has over 35 years of experience in management and technical leadership positions. Most recently he was Executive Director of Second Helpings Atlanta, a nonprofit organization he joined in 2015 to focus on expanding their food rescue network that increased the amount of healthy food rescued every year by nearly 2.5 times. Prior to joining Second Helpings Atlanta, he was Vice President, Product Marketing at PGi, Chief Marketing Officer at Enterprise Information Management and held several leadership roles at IBM Corporation.
