Secure Records Solutions Merges with ShredEZ

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, December 4th, 2019

Secure Records Solutions recently announced its merger with ShredEZ out of Adel, Georgia. Secure Records Solutions (SRS) is a family owned and operated document management company headquartered in Thomasville, Georgia. The merger with ShredEZ, the first for SRS, will increase its shredding footprint to include a radius of over 100 miles in North Florida and Southwest Georgia. In addition to shredding services, SRS offers document management services, including storage, scanning, and consulting services to clients across the country.

“We’re thrilled to announce this merger with ShredEZ,” says Christopher Powell Jones, owner and Chief Problem Solver at Secure Records Solutions. “We have known ShredEZ founder Jeffery Hayes for many years, and we hold him in the highest esteem. Clients will continue to receive the high touch client service they’ve come to expect while gaining access to a full array of document management services above and beyond shredding.”

This merger occurred in conjunction with the firm’s sixteenth anniversary. In October 2003, Thomasville native W. Powell Jones founded Secure Records Solutions (SRS), and his oldest son, Christopher, joined the firm as a partner in 2011. Over the past 16 years, SRS has experienced monumental growth due to its expanded service offerings and emphasis on high-touch service and creative problem solving. This has been especially evident over the past three years, with 40% growth year-over-year and a payroll increase of 300%. Since its founding, SRS has also created over 25 new jobs for residents of Thomas County and the surrounding areas to serve 750 clients in 48 states and abroad.

SRS celebrated this anniversary with a “Sweet 16” party and ribbon cutting on October 22, 2019. This occasion also served to unveil the front office renovation of its 75,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. This new space will provide SRS’s growing staff a workplace that fosters collaboration and innovation as they solve problems for clients.

Despite this global presence, SRS and its owners remain dedicated to Thomasville and are active in many local area nonprofits. “Sixteen years is an important milestone, and this renovation really speaks to the growth of the business and to our commitment to the city of Thomasville,” says founder and CEO Powell Jones. “Opening a business in a small town, I had to stand at the front door and assure friends and local professionals that I would safeguard whatever information was entrusted to SRS. No matter how much SRS grows, that same philosophy of safeguarding information for our clients will remain.”
