New Interim President and CEO Takes the Helm at DeKalb Chamber of Commerce

The DeKalb Chamber Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Kenneth E. Coleman has been named Interim President & CEO of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. Coleman officially joined the organization on Thursday, November 21st. In this new role, he will work to build partnerships and alliances with a broad range of constituencies, including the Chamber's Board of Directors, DeKalb County government officials, and business leaders from around DeKalb and metro Atlanta. He will also provide visionary leadership for the Chamber and drive continuous improvement initiatives which reinforce the Chamber’s mission to be the catalyst that attracts, supports, and advances business interests in DeKalb.

With an impressive 25 -year professional career, Coleman has held numerous senior executive roles with Southern Company and has driven revenue growth and improved organizational performance consistently. While serving as Interim President and CEO, Coleman will continue to serve as Executive Director for Infrastructure Projects for Georgia Power Company. Coleman has previously served as President of Pivotal Home Solutions, a former $350 million subsidiary of Southern Company Gas; Senior Vice President of Marketing for Georgia Power; and Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer for Southern Company. Prior to joining Southern Company, he was an economic developer for the Metropolitan Development Board in Birmingham, AL, and a former professional baseball player with the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox organizations.
