Lenbrook, Atlanta’s premier intown community for engaged senior living for more than 35 years, recently appointed Deon’ta Hampton as Director of Enrichment for the nearly 480-resident community. In this position, Hampton will continue Lenbrook’s rich tradition of providing opportunities that positively impact the lives of residents every day.

At Lenbrook, Hampton will oversee the robust enrichment initiatives that Lenbrook offers its residents including activities and programs that enhance physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, vocational, emotional and environmental health. Enrichment activities include onsite classes and clubs, comprehensive fitness center and wellness activities, non-denominational spiritual programs, volunteer groups, cultural and recreational outings, and learning opportunities, just to name a few.

Previous to joining Lenbrook, Hampton held a number of leadership positions with YMCA branches in Metro Atlanta and Central Florida as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.

Lenbrook alsorecently promoted Nettie Thrash, R.N., to Vice President of Health Services. She joined Lenbrook in 2003 as a PRN nurse and became full time after more than 25 years with Atlanta’s Grady Health System.

In her new role Ms. Thrash will lead all areas of Lenbrook’s full continuum of health services for Lenbrook’s 487 residents, which include The Clinic, short-term rehabilitation services, Assisted Living Suites, Lenbrook's Medicare-certified skilled nursing center, and Menders by Lenbrook home health services.

In addition to her Registered Nursing degree from Excelsior College and Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Atlanta Technical College, Ms. Thrash pursued and completed the Gerontology Certification program at Kennesaw State University. Most recently she earned certification in the Stephen Ministry Program, which she says honed her listening skills and has helped make her a more effective caregiver.
