The DeKalb County Department of Planning and Sustainability has launched a new citizen survey to help inform future sustainability initiatives.

Citizens can access the 10-question survey by visiting www.dekalbcountyga.gov/planning and clicking “Green Survey” under Announcements or clicking here.

Findings will help the department shape sustainability plans as the department works toward implementing additional environmentally-conscious practices.

DeKalb County is certified through the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Green Communities program as a silver-level community. The Green Communities Program is a voluntary certification program that helps local governments implement measures that will reduce their environmental impact. DeKalb’s certification was earned through achievements in land use, recycling and waste reduction, transportation, trees and greenspace, water efficiency, green power, energy efficiency and green building.
